ABOUT 

Rhiannon is an English soprano from Chichester, West Sussex. In 2016 she gained a place at the prestigious Royal Northern College of Music, where she now studies with celebrated soprano Deborah Rees. Since joining the RNCM she has immersed herself in college life. This spring she was a part of the RNCM Outreach Children’s Opera Project which helps children from Manchester get involved with opera. In her first year she took part in the RNCM Symphony Chorus, performing repertoire such as Liszt’s 'Missa Choralis'. In May of this year Rhiannon joined the new RNCM Flori Singers directed by Wilcox Leung. The group had their debut performance in July staging a concert as part of the RNCM Student Festival. Rhiannon commissioned a piece for the ensemble called 'She Is With Me Yet', composed by fellow student Josh Urben. At the end of her first year Rhiannon competed in the Elsie Thurston Prize, gaining Highly Commended. 

 In early 2016, Rhiannon organised two concerts in aid of the Multiple Sclerosis Society called 'Words and Music' and 'Music Through Time'.

Later that year, Rhiannon was invited to take part in Beechwood Opera’s debut performance of John Blow's Venus and Adonis which consisted of two performances in Portsmouth and Chichester. In 2015 and 2017 Rhiannon joined the AIMS International Music School collaborating with highly acclaimed tutors such as Neil Jenkins and Susanna WatersRhiannon has a long history with the Chichester Festival Theatre through her involvement with their Youth Theatre. There she took part in productions such as 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe' and 'Shooting Truth' which was part of the National Theatre Connections.

Rhiannon is now in her second year and has participated in RNCM's Autumn Opera, Massenet's 'Cendrillon' and a Spotlight in early March which she organised with fellow RNCM singer Rachel Routledge entitled 'The Forgotten Female Romantics'. She is looking forward to her role in the chorus of RNCM's production of Humperdinck's opera'Hansel and Gretel'.
